What To Expect & My Background

What to expect

Ayurvedic Yoga is personalized healthcare and there is no one size fits all approach. This program will span over the course of a few months. During this time you will be slowly, intentionally, and gently guided towards more health-affirming practices to manage diseases and work on long-term health goals. At the same time, you will learn how to manage the doshas and better understand their effects on our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. The goal is to become self-reliant and empowered to manage your own health.

Preliminary Consultation: This consultation will be approximately 2 hours long. We will assess your unique physical and psychological profile through questions and various Ayurvedic diagnostic techniques. Through this, we will determine your Prakruti (Ayurvedic constitution & genetic makeup) as well as your Vikruti (current state of imbalance). We’ll then devise a healthcare wellness plan specific to your needs.

Discovery Consultation: The Discovery Consultation is approximately one hour and is scheduled one week after the Initial Consultation. During this time we will go over the data and diagnosis from the Initial Consultation. We will discuss foundational principles of Ayurveda, your Prakruti (constitution & genetic makeup) as well as Vikruti (current state of imbalance). We will introduce the first steps in your wellness program. If a custom herbal formula is prescribed then this will be discussed, prepared, and administered accordingly.

Follow-Up Consultations: For those individuals that have completed the Preliminary & Discovery Program. Each individual follow-up consultation is recommended every two to four weeks. During these visits and according to your unique needs, we add, modify, and or eliminate any yoga asanas, breathing practices, meditations, and or sensory therapies as part of an overall Ayurvedic Yoga Wellness Program. Maintaining a continuing relationship is optimal to plan on six months to a year of support in order to develop a consistent, and deeply integrated practice.
